J. Alvin Wilbanks and Gwinnett County Public Schools 'A PAGE Turning Event' Honorees


Gwinnett County Public Schools CEO and Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks and Gwinnett County Public Schools will be honored at the PAGE Foundation's 12th annual "A PAGE Turning Event."


The PAGE Turning Event recognizes leaders from business, philanthropy, government and education for exemplary leadership in public school improvement.


During his 20 years as leader of Gwinnett County Public Schools, Wilbanks has overseen one of the fastest-growing school districts in the country and is credited with providing a high-quality education to a very diverse student population that increasingly comes from impoverished homes.

PAGE Foundation Awards 2016 Scholarships

Seventeen professional, support personnel and teacher candidate PAGE members have been identified and awarded the 2016 PAGE Foundation Scholarships.

Applications were scored by a panel of judges on a variety of criteria including answers to essay questions and recommendations from professors, colleagues and supervisors.

The scholarships are non-renewable awards of $1,000 each. The application process begins again in October. Eligibility requirements and application information will be available on the Scholarship section of this website at that time.
